Fun at the Mall

Molly and I survived our first trip to the mall with all 5 kids, and we even managed to get some new clothes - for us not the kids. And we got some adorable smiles from these two sweet, baby girls while the big kids played at the play area.

My Babies

Relocating

Up until now, Caleb's school desk has been located in the dining room. But with his sisters becoming louder and more numerous, he needed a quiet place to work. So, I moved his desk up to his room. He works on independent things like handwriting and math up there. Then, when he is working with me, he just sits at the dining room table. So far it's working well. In the background, you can see his uniform hanging up ready for his one day a week that he goes to classes, which he loves, by the way.

Sisters' Stats

I was looking back over my blog one day last week and noticed an interesting (at least to me) fact about my girls. Alexa weighed approximately 11 lbs at one month, Jordanna at two months, and Sierra at three months.

Alexa - 1 month
Jordanna - 2 months
Sierra - 3 months

Jordanna's Turn

For a haircut. She didn't cut hers, but it was so thin and scraggly in the back that I decided to freshen it up. She sat so still for me; I was amazed. But then she acted like a crazy person whenever I tried to get a picture of her hair. This is the best I could do.

Three Months Old

Sierra is three months old today. Here's what she is up to these days.

-Weighs right around 11 lbs according to my Wii. She doesn't go to the doctor again until 4 months.
-Is outgrowing her 0-3 months clothes mostly by length, so we are switching to 3-6 months clothes.
-Is on the last pack of size 1 diapers then will be moving to size 2.
-Still spits a lot, but it doesn't seem to bother her much.
-Still loves her paci, but she also gnaws on her hands whenever they get near her mouth, so she still might be a thumb sucker.
-Likes her swing still and also likes to lie on her back on her play mat.
-Naps 3-4 times per day and eats every 2.5-3 hours.
-Still waking 2 times most nights although occasionally (like last night) she wakes only once.
-Smiles, coos, and "talks" especially to her daddy.

My Sweet Girlies

Alexa wearing her new dress and hair bow that Grammy bought (obviously pre-haircut).
I laid Sierra down on her mat and came back to find Alexa hanging out with her.

Haircut

A certain four year old girl who lives in my house decided to cut her hair with her scissors yesterday. I thought something looked wrong when I got home from work, but I really noticed it when we were getting ready this morning. I normally cut her hair, but I really didn't want to deal with that today or to try to figure out how best to deal with the chunks she cut out. So, I took her for her first "professional" haircut (if you can call Great Clips that).

Before
During
After
She sat very still for the lady who cut her hair, and she seemed pretty stoic about the whole thing. When Dave got home and talked to her about cutting her hair, she did get upset that her hair is short and Jordanna's is long, but she got over it quickly. Hopefully, she learned her lesson, but we shall see.

Lunch Bunch

Molly happened to be out towards our house today (she lives 1/2 an hour away), so she called to see if I wanted to meet for lunch. I obviously said, yes, and once we realized we were about 5 minutes from Laura's house, we called her, too. It was a fun, random get together.

Here's Audrey trying to get some water out of the straw.
Laura with her milkshake and Jordanna with her ice cream.
And Sierra along for the ride.
I took the big kids, too, but they were on the playground when I had the camera out.
