Fun Night Out

Thanks to some gift cards from two of my students and from Caleb's teacher, we had a fun night out last Friday.

First we went to Panera where Jordanna happily at her macaroni and cheese.
Alexa ate her yogurt.
And Sierra eating her yummy grilled cheese.

We made a trip to Target and then went out for frozen yogurt.
Yummy!

End-of-the-Year Fun

I decided that I would plan an End-of-the-Year party for the whole school this year so that I could attend Caleb's party and the party for my middle and high school students.  We had the party at Bouce U, and the kids, young and old, had a great time.  Even the teachers got in on the fun.

Seventeen Months

Here's what Sierra is up to at 17 months -
-Weighs about 20.5 lbs and is 31ish inches long.
-Still hates most fruits and vegetables.  I can occasionally get her to eat a grape.  And she likes mushrooms and tomato sauce if those count.
-Drinks 2-3 sippy cups a day - one juice and the rest water.  Totally refuses whole milk, chocolate milk, almond milk, and goat milk.
-Nurses twice a day - when she wakes up and when she goes to bed.
-Has a mix of 12-18 month, 18 month, and 18-24 month clothes.
-Wears a size 4 diaper.
-Naps only once a day now around 12:30.  She naps anywhere from 1 to 3 hours.  Sleeps from 8:00 p.m. to 8:30 or 9:00 a.m.
-Can sign "all done".  We are also working on eat and drink.  Next up, more and please.
-Understands when I call the kids to come eat and gets all excited and crawls towards the table.
-Gives very wet kisses.
-Is now receiving occupational and physical therapy.
-Climbs the stairs very well but can't get back down.
-Can pull herself up with just a bit of help, and likes to walk around while someone holds her hands.
-Has a diagnosis now for her abnormalities and delays - Greig Cephalopolysydactyly syndrome.  It doesn't really change much about her care as we were already treating or have already treated all the symptoms associated with this syndrome.
-Is my sweet Sierra Grace!

Another Photo Dump

Excuse the randomness, but now I am finally caught up with blogging.

My sweet (drooly) Sierra.
Let me lick the camera!
Old kitchen table.  This was a nice, solid table that some friends gave us when they moved shortly before we bought our house.  However, it never fit well in our kitchen, which has become more problematic the more people who live here.  So I sold it on Craigslist.
Alexa keeping Sierra from killing herself on the stairs.
Cute little stinker!
Jordanna had an allergic reaction to something or other and her face was red and puffy.

Pattern Blocks

I was babysitting the other day, and it was a yucky and rainy day (as it has been an awful lot this spring), so I pulled out the pattern blocks for the kids to play with.  They all had fun, and these blocks are even slightly educational.

Charlie even climbed up to play with the little kid version.  You can see Caleb in the kitchen doing his school work.

Museum Field Trip

I took the kids on a field trip recently to a local museum with a group from Caleb's school.  We chose this trip because we studied Gutenberg this year, and the museum has a working printing press, but of course I didn't get a picture of the press.

Listening to the tour guide.
Little girls playing at the play kitchen.

Group photo.
This is what Sierra thought about the museum.
Looking at a doll house.
Afterward, we all went out for pizza.  It as a fun trip!  Caleb also went on another field trip with his class the next week, but the girls and I didn't go since Sierra had an appointment to go to.

Photo Dump

Bear with me as I try to get caught up on blogging, so here are a bunch of random picture that I meant to blog about.

At home date night - Steak, potatoes, asparagus, and wine (and a little boy sitting at the table with us eating half my steak).
And molten chocolate cake topped with ice cream.
Cute little toesies!
Working on school.
Crazy Jordanna!

We got a Sesame Street CD from the library for our trip to Florida.  There was one song the kids especially liked, so they listened to it on You Tube.

Spring Break Days 6 and 7

On Thursday, we all walked to the same park that the little girls and I walked to on Wednesday.  Jordanna had fun playing.

So did Sierra.
And eating a snack.
My boys.

Jordanna and Caleb we so cute holding hands on the way back to the house.

Then Mac-Ella came over wearing her shirt that I bought her.

More double baby holding for me.

We took some family pictures.

Little girl cousins.

Plus Caleb.
Plus Poppy.

Phillip's family.
The whole clan.
Sweet baby.

On Friday we drove home.  The end.  (Finally)
