December Photo Project

So I'm planning to participate in this again this year, posting a picture a day from now until Christmas. We'll see if I can keep up!

Twenty Three Months

Thanks to my mom for reminding me to take Sierra's picture for this month. And how can she possibly be almost two?

-Not sure on weight and height.  She goes to the doctor next week.

-Back to needing Miralax occasionally, but not as much or as often as before.

- Eats well in quantity, but not in quality or variety.

-Wears a mix of 24 month and 2T clothes.

-Wears a size 4 diaper.

-Naps once a day around 1:00.  Goes to bed at 8 and sleeps until about 9.
-Can get up to a standing position from the middle of the floor.  Walks 10-15 steps.  Can walk holding onto one of my hands.  She is still not "walking" though; she mostly crawls to get places..
-Only has physical therapy once a week.  Waiting for a speech therapy evaluation soon.
 -Still loves Elmo as you can see by her shirt!
-Started throwing her glasses off recently, so I took her to the eye doctor, and her prescription had changed significantly.  We're still working on getting her to wear her new prescription.
-Loves to roar.  Can say yum and mama when she wants to, which is not often and not on command.
-Has started crying at stop signs and red lights until the car starts moving again.  Annoying!
-Nuzzles and says "mmmmmm" when she wants kisses.
-Has the goofiest smile and the best laugh.

We went to the Reformation party at my parents' church again.  The kids were Pocahontas, Sleeping Beauty, Tinkerbell, and a pirate.

We had school pictures made recently by Amy, the same lady who has made our family pictures previously.  I think they turned out great!

Updating

I have such a hard time these days finding/making time for blogging.  And I feel like the days and weeks run together homeschooling and cleaning things that get messy again and doing laundry that gets dirty again.  So I feel like I have nothing interesting to say.  But I can't bring myself to abandon my blog all together because I love looking back at previous years and remembering what life was like.  So here's an update of sorts.  I'm planning to start the December Photo Project on the 1st.

Sierra LOVES tomato sauce.  For some reason she always gets a bath afterwards.

Date night!

On our date, we bought Caleb a comic book version of The Hobbit.  He sat in the hammock and read for a long time.

Our church threw a baby shower for Megan and baby.

She had some great helpers.

We missed piano one day, so Molly taught the kids via Skype.

Sierra turned 22 months.

What We've Been Up To

 In no apparent order.

We had a church picnic at the outdoor YMCA.

We went to the fair two weekends in a row.  The first weekend was rainy, but the kids still had fun.

We had friends over for lunch after church; we have 11 kids between us.

We  dressed up like pirates to get free donuts.

We've been working hard on school including this fun science experiment.
