That's My Boy!

Here's Caleb reading during afternoon quiet time. I'm so proud of how well he is reading lately!

Good Daddy and Fun Outside

Dave came from an evening meeting at school Tuesday night and fixed the kids' play set for them in the dark. What a good daddy!

And we had lots of fun playing outside yesterday in the beautiful weather. And it's supposed to be even warmer today. I think spring is on the way!

Happy Valentine's Day

We had a great Valentine's Day today! This morning Grammy came over with presents for the kids. She made this ball for Jordanna.
And these jammies for the big kids (BTW, Caleb is wearing Curious George underwear and socks with his Curious George jammies). She also got them some M&Ms.
Then some friends from church came over for a party. Here's Molly with the babies.
Jordanna and Alexa were both fascinated by the baby.
All 3 girls (me included) napped this afternoon, which always makes for a great day. And then the kids played outside until dinner.
Valentine's dinner for my 4 sweeties (notice the new quilt wall hanging that my mom made).

And presents!

Jordanna got hair bows, and she knew just what to do with them.
And finally, molten chocolate cake. Yum!

Menu Plan Monday

Tonight - Grilled steak, Caesar salad, oven roasted potatoes, 5 cheese garlic bread

Tuesday - Out to eat before Dave's meeting at school

Wednesday - Peach pork chops, homemade bread, honey carrots

Thursday - Chicken in mustard sauce, brown rice, broccoli

Friday - Bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches, hash browns, fruit

Saturday - Kids at Molly and Nick's, Dave and me out to eat for Valentine's/my birthday

Sunday - 3 cheese baked ziti, salad, garlic bread

Storytime, Snow, School, and Stuff

On Wednesday, we had some friends meet us at the library for story time and then come back to our house for lunch. We had a great time, but unfortunately, this is the only picture I took.
On Thursday, we got a light dusting of snow. The roads were clear, but we had nowhere pressing to go, so we decided to stay home and have a jammie day.

The kids had some hot chocolate and cookies
while I pulled out our pile of school books and read to them.
For lunch, I rolled up ham slices around cheese and speared them with a toothpick. And I gave them some honey mustard to dip it in. They thought it was hilarious.

Today Caleb had speech therapy and we ran a few errands before coming home for school. The kids worked on some Curious George pages that I printed off the internet
while I read a Curious George book.
Tonight we went out for pizza for dinner (Well, the kids had pizza; Dave had a calzone, and I had a meatball sub). Then we went to Target where Dave took Caleb and I took the girls to pick out Valentine's cards and presents.

Crazy Caleb

I sent Caleb upstairs on Sunday night to put his belt away, and this is how he came back, wearing both his belt and a tie over his jammies.
