CVS Loot of the Day

No pictures or breakdown (it's very confusing today as I bought something wrong and had to do a return) today, but here's what I got.

3 bottles of Oil of Olay Regenerist facial cleanser
1 package Oil of Olay Regenerist facial wipes
1 package CVS facial wipes
4 sticks Sure unscented invisible solid deodorant (20% more free, Mom. It is included, and I have more coupons if you want them)
2 bottles Dawn dish liquid

So, I will have a very clean face, not be smelly, and have clean dishes. Thanks CVS!

Partying With Elmo

We had a great time yesterday at the kids' birthday party. If I'm counting right we had 8 kids and 13 adults. The kids played in the sandbox and on the play set until everyone arrived. Then we played Pin the nose on the Elmo, which was won by Daniel, who is 3 weeks older than Alexa. The kids also did a scavenger hunt around the backyard and then colored Elmo and Big Bird coloring sheets. Then it was time for the Elmo and Big Bird cake that Caleb had picked out, along with Chex Mix, Gogurt, and fruit. Finally, the kids opened presents and everyone played for a few more minutes before heading home. Here are some of the best pictures.

Our new deck all "decked" out for the party.

Birthday Dinner and 4th of July

Grammy and Gramps force feeding Alexa cheesecake and whipped cream. Just kidding. Actually she loved it, and I'm not sure why she's trying to squirm away in this picture.
Alexa playing Wii with Uncle Phillip.
Caleb playing with our old Little People. He lined them all up and then put a foam letter on each one's head. I'm not really sure why.

Busy Holiday Weekend

Yesterday, we planned to go blueberry picking with some friends from church. I called on Tuesday, the day the farm opened, and was assured that they had plenty of blueberries. Well, we got there yesterday morning, and they told us that they barely had any ripe blueberries because they had about 500 people come on their first day open. Molly and I walked around for 10-15 minutes and only got about 12 berries. So we decided to give up and let Caleb play on the playground there, instead. Once everyone else arrived, we headed out for a yummy (but very slow) lunch. Later in the day, I went to Aldi to purchase blueberries on sale for $1.99 this week, but they were completely out. Apparently no one wants to sell me any blueberries.

Tonight we are meeting my parents at the Cheesecake Factory for a belated birthday dinner for Alexa (6/27) and my mom (6/5). Yummm! I plan to get a much needed haircut first. I actually can't remember when my last one was.

Tomorrow, we are heading over to my parents' house to play on their new Wii.

Saturday, we are having a combined birthday party for Alexa's first birthday and Caleb's third birthday. The theme is Sesame Street including Pin the Nose on the Elmo, Elmo and Big Bird coloring sheets, and Hide and Seek with the Sesame Street characters. Caleb picked out a cake with Elmo and Big Bird on it from Publix last week, and he has been begging for an Elmo balloon every time we've been to the grocery store for weeks, so I plan to get one for his party.

On Sunday, I'm teaching Sunday School as usual, we have church and then fellowship lunch afterwards, then we'll hang out at Molly and Nick's house for th afternoon before we head back to church in the evening.

I'd ask what all of my loyal readers are doing this weekend, but I'll probably see half of you this weekend, and the other half live in Canada and don't have a holiday weekend. So, umm yeah.

Sharing a Popsicle with Caleb.
I trimmed her bangs today because they were all jagged. Don't worry; I won't actually make her wear her hair like this. I usually comb it all to the side and then put the bow in.

For Your Viewing Pleasure

Alexa and Caleb helping Mommy put together goody bags for their birthday party.
Alexa got in the childproofed cabinet and was having fun emptying a bag of rubber bands. Notice the roll of tape hanging out of the cabinet behind her.

Uncle Phillip wrapped Alexa up completely in a blanket, and she just sat there and grinned and looked cute.
