Teaching Time

I must admit that we didn't do a whole lot of school this week. Monday was a holiday, and we attended a party for my cousin's graduation (the last one of my cousins to graduate from high school). The rest of the week was busy with shopping, cleaning, list making, cooking and packing for our upcoming trip to the beach. We did manage to sneak in a little school, though.

Our author this week was Mercer Mayer. He wrote the Little Critter books and several other books as well. Caleb really got into these books this week, mostly because he could write them on his summer reading list for the library, and read every single Mercer Mayer book that we own or that I got from the library, close to 20 in all.
We also made birthday cards for Grammy.
And Dave taught math one day. Apparently kindergarten math bores him.
No school next week for vacation, but I'll have another school update in 2 weeks.

Yep! Teaching your own children can be more challenging:)
Can Caleb read by himself those books?

No, he's not reading yet.
