The Grocery Weekly May 1st-7th

Okay, I'm trying yet another way to keep track of my grocery spending. At the beginning of the week, I took $80 in cash out of the ATM, and here's how I spent it.

Aldi - Spent $7.06, estimated savings of $7.90 over Publix's prices
3 cartons strawberries
1 bag baby carrots
1 loaf wheat bread
1 pineapple
1 dozen eggs

Kroger - Spent $37.40, saved $27.44
3 loaves wheat bread (yes, we, mostly Dave and Caleb, eat A LOT of bread)
1 bag hamburger buns
3 cartons Tropicana orange juice
1 bunch asparagus
2 bags Kraft shredded cheese
1 bunch bananas
1 bag pretzels
3 bottles Gatorade
1 gallon skim milk
1 box Ziploc snack bags
2 tubs Curly's pork BBQ
2 Hormel pork roasts
1 package bacon
1/3 lb hard salami

Publix - Spent $18.40, saved $54.35 or 75%
Items that were free or gave overage -
2 packages Oscar Mayer bologna
1 package Oscar Mayer chicken breast
4 bags Mahatma rice
2 bottles Hidden Valley dressing
Dove deodorant
Carefree pantiliners

Items that were under $1.00 -
8 jars Beechnut baby food - $.08 each (I don't use a lot of store bought baby food, but for that cheap, it's nice to have a few jars on hand)
3 boxes Poptarts - $.78 each
4 boxes Ronzoni Smart Taste pasta - $.25 each
4 jars Peter Pan peanut butter - $.86 each
2 boxes Caprisun juice boxes - $.79 each

Other items -
1 Mother's Day card (not pictured)
1 bunch bananas
1 loaf Italian bread
1 package Kraft American cheese

Kroger (forgot these when I went earlier in the week) -Spent $2.41, saved $1.04
2 cans Bush's baked beans

So, here are my final totals.
Spent - $65.27
Saved - $90.73
Percent saved - 58%
Amount left - $14.73 (will roll over to next week)
