After yesterday's sad shopping trip to Kroger, I had a MUCH better trip to Publix today. The cashier was even impressed with my savings. I spent $19.10 and saved $70.83. I used a $5/$25 Rite Aid coupon on my purchase.
Here's what I got -
6 bags Mahatma rice - $.11 overage each
1.36 lb grapes - $2.30 (These would have been cheaper at Kroger, but their grapes did not look very good yesterday.)
1 large carton strawberries - $2.29
2 packages Dixie napkins - $.50 each
1 loaf Marble Rye bread - $2.89
1 package King's Hawaiian rolls - $.01 overage
1 package Eat Smart broccoli - $.67
12 assorted packages Bird's Eye vegetables - $.31 - $.56 each
1 rolls packing tape - $1.79
3 CFL light bulbs - $.69 each
1 jar light Helmann's mayo - $1.50
1 jar regular Helmann's mayo - $1.90
2 boxes Ritz crackers - $.75 each
2 packages Wrigley's gum - free
3 packages Mentos gum - $.01 overage each
1 box Chex Mix bars - $1.00
1 bottle Cranapple juice - $.85
There will be no official grocery totals post for this weekend because we are leaving tomorrow to go to the mountains with Molly and Nick and without the kids. I still have TONS of packing to do. But here's a quick overview.
Drug store -
I went to CVS once and spent around $2 and saved something and got back some ECBs.
Grocery Store -
I spent $53.94 and saved $75.41 or 57%.
